My Gravely ZT-34 won't start. It died while mowing the lawn. It turns over just fine. The spark plug is new and is producing spark. The fuel filter is new and doesn't appear to have any debris. The air cleaner is new as well. It worked fine for about eight mowings after servicing.

I'm sure there is a mechanical part that isn't functioning......but what?

http://apache.ariens.com/manuals/04012600B_ENG.pdf see page 25, check all wiring connections by hand making sure they are tight & secure. also check fuel tank cap vent.

see page 24, if fuse is blown replace, if it blows again you have a short, like spark plug wire rubbing, or ground wire loose from engine to chassis etc. also check all safety switches.
