There is no one place that all the schematics. So what are you looking for? Make and model numbers.

Then you just have to do your homework ie surfing the internet. They can found in owners manual at times, in parts ipls at times, in service manuals at times, and sometimes not at all. Sometimes all you find is line drawings which are a royal pain to trace out as you have know how which component works. All depends on the OEM. Even contacting the OEM don't help at times as their customer service reps won't have access to them either.

I personally I can spend a several hours looking for them here. And JD is one that you will not find schematics online or in parts IPLs, you have to buy the service manuals for those.

Most mowers are wired basically the same .
There 2 basic systems
1) direct wiring so the key switch will have a ground wire & join ground to magneto to stop ( and allow to start ) the engine
2) Relay ( or module ) these usually do not have a ground on the key switch but use a relay(s) or control module to do the switching

Briggs & Stratton do a manual called "Repowering guide" and "alternator replacement guide" ( different versions of the same book )
These have generic wiring diagrams covering most of what you will come across
Toro do a series of manuals called "The demystification guide " ( Because US schools are shit at teaching electricity ), again several volumes covering different years, a bit better than the B & S book because it covers a variety of different engine brands
MTD put out a series of manuals called "The Must Have Manual of outdoor power equipment"
you want volume 2 or 3
They are all available free on line if as suggested you do your searching

Now if you want to know how the wiring actually works then you can not go past the JD technical Manuals as they all start with a theory of operation .
There are a couple of 100 series kicking around on line , a bit harder to find .
