Hi All, looking for pics and doc’s for setting up fixed throttle on a 16 HP B&S V Twin, something different than what is in the B&S manuals.
Thanks

The Why is, this engine is on a ride around locomotive, we currently have a throttle cable for control, engine drives a hydraulic pump which runs the wheels on the Loco, the thought is if we fix the throttle to a controlled RPMs.we could then control the speed of the Loco by controlling the fluid flow as we do now, the fixed throttle would prevent operators from messing with it,
This a new engine that came with the fixed throttle parts but no real instructions.
Thanks

In that case it should be set up as is and just remove the throttle cable , cut the end off the existing cable & remove the inner
remove the throttle cable clamp at the engine
hook the inner to the throttle lever on the engine , set the throttle in the wide open position then wrap the control wire around the screw that used to hold the throttle cable clamp .
You will need the governor to work so it can keep up pressure when the hydraulic pump is working flat out

OR just run some wire from the throttle lever on the engine to hold it WFO to the clamp bolt if it did not come with a cable .

OK so pictures of the carb & the kit as there is about a 0,01% chance that any one here has ever set one up but a 99% chance ones seen some will know where the bits go .

Does your engine have a normal mower throttle plate on it ?
IF so hook the rod into where the throttle cable wold normally go then fit the bracket to where the cable clap would go
You might have to fabricate a support bracket for it or just use a piece of angle iron / heavy shelf bracket shortened & drilled to suit .
