Repairs Ferris IS 1500Z running issues

Got it running then it died, pulled filter and blew out and emptied fuel out of filter, reinstalled, started by pulling choke out and ran ok till I push the choke in, spudders then dies. Fuel is getting through the filter to idle while choke is pulled but is not building up inside filter. Has sat for about a month without running but thats not unusual. wondering if fuel pump isnt working at full capacity or gummed up in carb. whats odd is it idles fairly good with choke about half out. Not sure where to start at, Im out of work for another month due to surgery and have no income to just start replacing parts. Any advice is much appreciated.

Found my problem, the little clip that holds the wire on to the choke was worn out and fell off when I last got it to run. Used a wire bread tie and a couple of zip ties to keep it on for now.

Sounds like the fuel pump ...I have replaced mine once already.
