When I went to buy a new IS3100Z, the mower at my local dealer's shop did not have the new icd deck with the 350 degree rotating anti-scalp rollers featured in the Ferris ads...and that I've seen on other mowers.
It's a new 2011. Why do some decks have the rotating rollers and some don't? What is the advantage either way? Was there a change in the Ferris design recently that eliminated the rotating roller? If so, why?
Thank you for the help you might provide.

Not sure at all why they would have one without ICD.
The website only mentions the ICD for the deck regardless of width.
