F525: Mystery fuel line leaking

The tube shown in the picture below is leaking fuel when the engine runs. We haven't been able to find what this tube connects to, or if it's supposed to be connected at all. The open end of the tube that's leaking gas looks as though it was connected to something because it is flared out as though it had something inserted into it.

The connections on the fuel filter look fine so I don't think this leaky tube is suppose to be connected to the fuel filter. The end of fuel overflow tube has mud caked into it's open end, and maybe this is causing this fuel leak? We ran out of time yesterday and haven't tried removing this caked-on mud but it's the next thing to try on our list.

Any other ideas what this tube is and if it's suppose to connect to something?

That looks like a carb overflow check the valve and seat in the carb.

Thank folks. I finally found an engine reference guide and the pic below shows part 92190 as my tube that is leaking gas. Someone else told believes the problem is that this a carb vent tube and the carb has a stuck float.
