My Z445 has the 25 H.P. Kawasaki V-twin, with fuel injection. The problem is when I start the engine, it surges and will not run smooth. From idle to top speed, I don't want to use this mower until this problem is fixed. I have no ideas on where to start looking. I'm honestly thrown off by the fuel injection. Thanks for all of your help.

There are some threads on here that recommend trying some seafoam in the gas maybe run a tank threw to see if it will straighten out.
Have you ever let the engine warm up before you shut it off? Many of the fuel injected Kawasaki engines will idle rough until the engine warms up. There's nothing wrong with it. It just takes a little time for the computer to adjust everthing. Yes, it does have a computer.
