I have an EXmark Lazer HP that Will not start. I used it last week and it was fine. The battery is at 13+ volts, the fuses are okay, nothing happens when trying to start, no solenoid click nothing. The steering arms are in the outboard position, I am in the seat the clutch switch is off. Any thoughts on what the problem is?
Thanks,
Ernie
Edit: engine is a Kohler 18 hp

SONOFADOCKER
We get them in the shop and the plastic safety buttons are broken . Push the plunger in with a small screw driver and spray some lube in there - see if you can free up the contacts .
One of the 3 safety's are confused .
Could also be a bad solenoid. Check if you have power (12 volts) to the small lead on the solenoid. If your solenoid has two small wires on it one will be a ground wire and the other is 12 volts from the ignition switch. You may need an assistant to sit in the seat and turn the key to the "start" position while you check the solenoid. If you are getting 12 volts to the small wire on the solenoid, the safety switches are all working and the solenoid is not working properly.
