Can anyone point me in the right direction on a rebuild manual for this engine ? Does anyone make a detailed manual that is better than the B&S manual #276781 that I continue to be referred to ? That manual is vague and only black and white photos with expanded views that need a microscope to decipher at least for my old eyes.

At this point in time you digital camera is about to become your new best friend and we are about to become your second best friend.
The only really hard bit is pulling the flywheel.
After that you tip it upside down take all of the sump bolts out then tip it back up the right way and lift the top 1/2 off.
Any problem you come across take a photo and ask a question.

Thanks Bertsmobile1, I plan to start this project in about a week with a tear down of the body and engine removal. The motor tear down will be a bit later. I can't wait to get this thing going and I will definitely be visiting with many questions I'm sure.:thumbsup:
