Engine dies when brake released or blades engaged

Craftsman riding mower 15.5hp brigs engine starts fine when brake on but dies when brake released or also when i try to engage blades.

Either a bad seat switch, short in wiring going to seat switch, wire not firmly attached to seat switch, or for the few that have a relay attached someplace in the wiring for the seat switch, bad relay.
