Helping neighbor with his recent purchase of a Simplicity Landlord garden tractor. His existing Simplicity is a Broadmoor (18 hp), purchased around 2000. The Landlord (16 hp) was made about 1995 and it has the electric lift with the buttons on the dash. He was hoping to install his snowthrower (mfg no 1691521) to the Landlord, but it is presently a manual lift. The snowthrower manual shows a mfg number (1692040) for electric lift Landlord 1700/2700 series. But his Landlord has a model number of 1692440. Does that mean the manual snowthrower cannot be attached to his Landlord?
I have looked at the 1692040 kit and it shows an external lift lever (1686765SM) for a new price of $260, and also an electric lift rod (1707542SM) for about $80.
Can anyone tell me if this snowthrower will work with the electric lift kit? If yes, could these items be purchased used for a lesser price?
