electric clutch ZT1640

When mowing, clutch cuts in and out, whether running slow or fast , dry grass, or damp, long or short. thought originally it was the bagger, but removed it and found out clutch was the problem. Have checked wiring and found no cracked wires, but have heard it might be a ground problem???
Could sure use some expert advice, mower is 8 to 10 yrs old. I have had it for 2 and the problem has been happening all along just didnt get it.

Have you checked the voltage at the clutch?
