I looked at my older mower with regulator and it is mounted to a bracket off the dipstick tube. I thought it mounted to the engine case but clearly not. Some of those posted look like plastic. Think the one on the older mower is metal but would have to look again to be sure.

They are all plastic
Little trick here is to check the ground strap.
There should be a short strap that goes under the blower housing rear bolt, between the crank case & the plastic blower housing
These tend to get dislodged when the blower housing is removed if you take the bolt right out in place of just backing it off till the housing clears the bolt head .
I like to make a new one hat runs from the starter motor mount to the rectifier as starters are not removed any where near as often
The straps seem to hole up well but I have found a couple where the wire had broken at the crimp.
This usually cause excessive heat so the terminal melts into the blower housing .

Hi!

I've got the 210000 Powerbuilt 3125 with dual circuit. Just mounted panel voltage meter and recognized overcharging in 16V.

790292 is very expensive in Sweden. What is the difference in 794360 except the black bypass?

I thougt remove the diod then mount the 794360 instead?

Only the connectors primarily are different. With appropriate pin extractors while paying careful attention to details you just wire it into the circuit. Yes when converting the harness over on the dual circuit you may need to remove the diode but I would connect up and test first as it may be fine with it still in the circuit.

Or you simply add another 5 amp diode in series with first one to drop another 0.7 volts. Each added diode will drop the voltage by 0.7 volts provide they a silicon diodes. I haven't Germanium diodes in years but those only drop 0.3 volts. Just be aware diode are one way devices and if you put one in backwards things will quit working.

Seems to solved my problem.
Voltage earlier 17V.
After mounting aftermarket model 794360 from Amazon voltage 14,7V. As known before voltage is a little lower when meassure in line between diod and regulator: 13V

Worked great with pin extractors. Thanks!
