Been seaching for friendly people for one of my aging machinery I try to keep running,my rideon is John Deere STX had a few problems but going OK now-very good parts supply in Australia.My main trouble now is Tecumseh parts-no one seems to care about them,not enough sold I guess.

more than likely since Tecumseh went out of buisness not many suppliers are getting many parts down under.
If you start having a lot of problems I would transplant a Briggs or Kohler in it (you might keep eyes open for good used one at a good price)
The STX is a pretty good lawn tractor you should be able to keep it running for years if you keep maintenance up on engine and transaxle.
