doesent start when hot

my stihl 017 chain saw refuses to start when it gets hot :eek: anyone know what could be wrong?

Seems so. Did not make any sense to do some work on the saw.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves!

Try cleaning out the fuel system first, cleaning the air filter, and make sure it is running with fresh fuel, and the right amount of oil.

It's a stihl. I use alot of stihl equipment and the saws can be finicky. Sometimes I just let them run on the ground til I need to cut more

just empteyed the fuel cleaned the carb put the exact fuel mix in. and checked the air filter which i found was decayed and only bits there (its now replaced )
it now works! thanks:thumbsup:
