Deck Issue on Grasshopper 1210

I have a grasshopper 1210 mower with what I believe is either the 2144 or 6144 deck on it. While mowing the other day the deck just stopped cutting. I have looked it over a bit and the problem seems to be that the gearbox on the deck is not functioning correctly. Basically once I got the deck off of the mower, I can freespin the PTO type input that connects to the mower, but the blades never spin. I decided to remove the gearbox, but I can't seem to get it off of the mower deck. Does anyone know how this thing is supposed to come off? I have all the bolts removed that were holding it in, but I can tip or turn it enough to get it out. Every way I try to move it it seems to hang up and not come out. Has anyone ever replaced/repaired one of these before? Any advice on how to get the thing out would be much appreciated.
