cub cadet lt1045 blades disengage while mowing in forward

i have a cub cadet 2008 lt1045 and its been a great mower.it has 70 hrs on it.a problem has developed when im mowing going forward on level ground the blades disengage sometimes it will do it every 2 or 3 minutes or it might go 10 or 15 minutes.any body got any ideas. tramms1@att.net

There is a relay under dash. It is a little bigger than a sugar cube. It is black and has 5 terminals on it. Part # 925-1648 that is probably your problem.

We started having a similar problem after having a drive belt replaced on our CC 1554. The service tech found a faulty ground on the clutch driving the blades. Replaced the ground wire and problem solved. NOTE: Turns out the tech pressure washed the unit to clean it up before returning it to us. Don't know if this was in any way related to the ground problem.
