Cub Cadet Electric PTO

My 1440 cub cadet is acting up again!

The belt for mower deck rode up on the shaft when I tried to engage it. This has happened in the past (once 1 replaced the PTO clutch, and other times the belt).

Is there any way of checking the PTO to determine the condition, or preventative maintenance to prevent this from occurring?

Thanks for your help!

Sorry I don't have an answer to your question but may I ask how you got the clutch off your cub in the past? My electric PTO clutch is out and I've tried everything to get the thing off and I can't get it to budge. It is mounted in front of the engine. I took the bolt out, tried a puller, screwed in a longer bolt in the ID of the bolt hole etc. and it won't move.
