I have a Craftsman Lawnmower 917.472290. Was running fine until the bowl on the carb started to leak due to a bad gasket. Instead of buying a gasket I decided to replace the whole carb. I bought a Panari 632795A carb and put it on. Now there are no leaks but the engine runs for about 5 seconds and stalls.
I am not able to figure out the problem. Should I have just replaced the gasket and bowl on the old carb?
