Cold start problems

I have a 2010 John Deere Z925A mower with a 27HP Kawasaki motor. It runs great when it starts and is hot but I'm having serious problems getting to start when it sits for several hours. I have checked the fuel, cleaned the carb, replaced the float and pin etc., replaced the air filters, replaced the plugs, replaced the fuel soleniod. Will changing the oil and oil filter help in case it has gas mixed? Not sure whats left to do/

I would check and/or adjust the valve clearance. Post the engine numbers and I should be able to find you a service manual.

I would check and make sure the choke is closing all the way

My J D with a 22 hp Briggs was nearly impossible to start in the winter so I invented a primer port for an eye dropper of gasoline and it usually starts with the first compression stroke. I'm old and drive it to the mail box.

Best I can see the engine number is FX751VA19235. It is a 2010, 27HP Kawasaki motor.
