I have an 03 hustler fastrak 44 EZT mower model #926527, serial # 03067427. I was wanting to know if the blades clutch was ac voltage or dc voltage?

DC voltage, if it was AC it wouldn't stay engaged.

If you your doing a engine swap and the new engine does not come with the external voltage regulator then you can wire the clutch to the battery.
