We changed the main deck belt on my oldest Tiger Cat yesterday. We ran this belt 590 hours. The mower has over 1500 hours on it and this is the second time it has been changed. That is a pretty good run time I think. Especially since it has been cutting two and three week old bahia grass all summer because it has rained several times awed all summer long.

Sounds like you've gotten your money's worth out of that belt.
I had to replace a 21 year old deck belt three weeks ago cutting that stinking grass. It was still doing just fine until I ran into a stump the owner forgot to tell me about, also two other stumps he forgot to tell me about. In fact, he told me there was absolutely nothing in that yard that would cause problems for the mower deck. Well, it was the third stump that got it.
While waiting on a replacement Kevlar deck belt, I put the old one back on with 15 inches of the outside 1/16 inch missing. It cut fine other than shaking like mad. lol
