I've got a zero turn with the Kawasaki FR651v motor on it. Shortly after I got it ,it started burning oil like mad. It's not leaking onto anything so that's not the problem. It's burning like I'm spraying for mosquitoes.

Although you have a Kaw, I had same problem on a Briggs. It was a broken head gasket, allowing oil to leak into combustion chamber from pushrod galley. I'd do a Youtube search for info on your engine as a start.

Check your engine oil level, be sure it isn't over filled. Capacity is right at 2 quarts, if i remember right.
If it is overfilled, smell of the oil to be sure it doesn't smell like fuel.

pull the air filter off. Look down inside. Is it dusty? If it is, the engine is dusted.
