Briggs & Stratton Won't stay running

I have a 6 HP Briggs & Stratton Model No: 12H802 that is hard to start, and after I get it started it will stay running only after I pump the primer several times. When it warms up it seems to run okay, but still not like it should. So far I have put in fresh gas, new spark plug, rebuilt the carburetor and cussed it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
