Are you talking about stock RPM?
HP is rated 23 @ 3600 RPM
Peak torque is 33 ft. lbs. @ 3000 RPM
You can make a lot of changes to these engines:smile: depending on how much you want to $pend.

One of the parts guys that I use told me that the Briggs Vanguards should not be run hard at high RPM's (over 3600) for any amount of time. He has seen several of them throw a rod because the rod bolts are so small on the crank end. He suggested that it is best to add a throttle limiter for about 3200RPM's.

None should ever be ran over 3600 RPM in Stock configuration...
Just like the engine in your car or truck... If you keep beating it it will eventually fly apart... :smile:KennyV
