I have an engine that had a minor fire a few years ago. Now I have put it back in service and all is going well but it is running rough. There is one little nozzle on the carb beside the fuel line nib that looks like it should have a vacuum tube attached to it. I cannot find any spot on the engine however where the other end of the tube should be connected. As this tube must have burned previously I am at a loss. Any suggestions?

I can't see the tube as clearly as I would like, but I'm betting that it is the bowl vent, which has no line attached to it.

Thanks for the response. Your suggestion is probably correct. The shape of the brass nib makes me think that there was a line but it may simply have led to a place where clean air was more likely to be found. (Air filter compartment?) I will look again.
