I have a 1985 snapper model 28086s with a 8hp B&S engine. I recently cleaned the carburetor and it starts just fine. The problem is that the engine seems to take a while before reaching full speed and sputters with popping and back firing sounds. It eventually cuts off. Like I said I cleaned the carb and also added a new fuel filter. Anyone know what causes this type of problem?
