Small differences but made by Hustler.

They're both built in Hesston, Kansas, population ~4,000.

Hard telling how much, if anything, they share with each other. One's CEO may be a brother in law of the other.

Or somebody saw the success of the first and decided to jump in the zero turn business.

There are some differences.
But I think a many share a lot of the same parts.
Example the Big Dog Diablo MP looks to have the same frame and deck lifts as the Hustler Super Z.
Has several of the same engine options as the Super Z.
Same pumps and drive motors as the Super Z.
Same transmission cooler Etc. Etc.

I guess I should have put this in my first post.
Excel Industries is the parent company of Hustler Turf Equipment, Inc., which manufacturers Hustler Turf and BigDog Mowers zero-turn mowers.
