I have a BG86 CE, and a few days ago picked up the add on shredder kit. It does a great job, but as some of you might know the difference in the SH vs BG models is the metal cutter on top of the impeller, and the beefed up coating on the inside of the housing. Looking back I would have gotten the SH86 to begin with but oh well. Here's my question(s):
1) Does anyone know if the metal cutter head will have room to bolt on to the BG86 shaft? It looks to me like there'd be enough threads but I don't know for sure.
2) If it will fit, could someone possibly give me the part number for the cutter so I can order it from Stihl?
I had the BG55 and added the blade to it. (I had the rest of the shredder kit already). I used it for a while but it did not do a good job at all so I sold the kit. The Toro electric blower vacs pickup more than the Stihl did.
