is it possible to bench test a hydrostat transaxle?
I have recently aquired a couple that I could not test on the tractor.
one is a Spicer 4900-3 (93264)
other is tuff torq K51b
also the spicer unit has a resivoir with a removable lid, after removing the lid it has just a little bit of fluid in the bottom, how full should that res be?
thanks

The answer is Yes and No.
Yes. Just hook up an electric motor with the correct size pulley and a belt. Run at 3000 RPM
No. Because you can really not test the power it has just its movement. IE it can run fine on flat ground but not pull up a hill.
