Today while cleaning and installing blades on my 52'' I noticed a lot of play in the 90 degree Gearbox!
The bearing was worn out at the U joint hookup.
I got 500 hours out of it anyway. It was a bear to remove bearing.
The rest of the gearbox not damaged.
Not sure if they sell just the bearing and seal, or have to buy the whole gearbox.

If the bearing isn't available through your dealer you should be able to take the worn out bearing to a bearing shop and they will be able to fix you right up.
