I just picked up a used 40 inch Murray Riding Mower w/Tecumseh 13 hp Vertical Drive and electric starter. I love this thing but it was not meant to be:smile:. lol My problem is that after a few rough starts, engine would turn over and then make a slamming/clanking noise. So I took off the cover and tried turning it over. I saw that the starter is engaging and sticking up causing the flywheel to stop turning. So I am guessing that the starter is bad but I cannot find a new, used or rebuild kit. If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it. My grass is getting so high that I may have lost my dog. I'm not sure but I haven't seen him in days. LOL
