Engine began to race while using snow blower attachment and no response from throttle lever. I was about 45 mins into using the snow blower on fine powder- 4 inchs deep. After turning off for a few mins it returned to normal operation. Any ideas?

It really sounds like the snow got around the governor and froze. Letting it sit allowed the snow to melt. Just a guess.

Thanks for the insight...there was some snow accumulated in front of the engine.
