The title states my question. In general, is the deck set high or low for the first cut of the season? How about the last cut in the fall?
I've always cut high spring and fall but was told I should cut ???? short term memory! I can't recall what I was told:frown: Thanks!

I cut short first cut in spring as long as conditions are right i.e. not to hot or cold and soil has enough water. This apparently promotes growth. I cut longer when coming into winter if possible to help grass through cold season.
