Hello. I bought a very nice used 1999 yard man with 42 inch deck. I happened to find a mtd brand bagger set up for 100$. However. It’s for a 2014 model. It bolts on but the discharge chute is wrong. How can I locate the proper discharge chute to fit the 1999 deck. I can’t seem to find a correct part number to even begin to look. Thanks in advance for the help

Start with the Model number of the mower.

I may have to Frankenstein alittle but. But the discharge chute should be the one to fit the deck based on this model ?

According to the manuals, I believe you should be using the MODEL 601 Bagger Assy., and the chute P/N is ... 731-0827A

Looks like it was replaced with the D model?

So I found a new discharge chute. However the diameter is smaller than the tube going to the bagger. Ugh.
