Just put a new drive belt and transmission cross member in and since then it will go forward fine, but when I put it in reverse it throws the belt. Any ideas?

Any luck finding the cause? My Craftsman tractor is doing the same thing. Works fine going forward. In reverse it throws the belt. New belt did not make a difference.

I would check all the pulleys and make sure they have no side to side movement and rotate good

I would also check the linkage movement to see if it actually goes into reverse detent...
