Hello, I'm new to the forum. I recently purchased a 2002 Scag Turf Tiger 61" deck, with the Kohler 25Hp engine.
After mowing I noticed the Spring helper on one side was broken. I purchased a new one from the local Scag delaership, however, I'm unable to pull it on the location pins. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi; A mechanic made a bar out of a pipe about 18 inches long that would fit over the bolt you are trying to pull the spring over. He cut a grove into the pipe so that when he got the spring over the bolt he just turned the pipe and the spring was in place and the pipe off from the bolt. Hope that helps you out.
