White ZT50 Battery draining off voltage while running
Problem-Battery drains down and it is ok.I only read12.5 Volts when running.I can mow with it for 3 to4 days about 1.5 hrs each day as long as I disconnect the pos coble. If the battery gets to low after 3 to 4 days the PTO will drop out and it needs to be charged.I did a continuity check with the pos cable disconnected. With the switch turned off I had continuity between the starter terminal and any place I grounded it to the frame.I suspected it was draining power somewhere. Can someone help before I take it to the shop? $$$$ I have been mowing for a month like this if it doesn't start a quick charge and i'm back to mowing. Thanks for any help!! JDJ309...
I would check the voltage regulator/rectifier, it looks like a diode is leaking...
Be careful running an electric PTO clutch with low voltage or AC voltage, It will not be completely engaged and will slip to the point that it will burn it $elf up...
Make sure you have good voltage and good grounds...
