Ferris IS 500z Hydro tank leaking

I have a 2006 model Ferris IS 500z zero turn mower and the hydraulic tank leaks getting oil on the battery and everything else underneath the hydro tank. The tank has thick gaskets at the hose connections but they do not seal off completely. Has anyone encountered this problem and what remedies do you suggest?

The oil tank is differant on my Ferris being a welded unit and sealed and the battery on top of it. It sound to me like the tank will have to be removed and new gaskets installed unless there is something you can tighen.

If the tank is plastic, like mine, t he problem is in the fitting that goes into the tank. it is a pressed-in fitting (no threads). The vibrations of the mower along with the hydraulic oil lubricating the connection causes the leak. Bad design.
