fuel flow problems
my 3.5hp Tecumseh was working perfectly until I shut it off to check the gas. Then it started surging really bad. after a few more passes in my yard, it quit entirely. I pushed the priming bulb and it started then stopped. I did the same thing several more times, with the same result. I've pulled the carb, removed the float assembly, used carb cleaner to blow out all the openings and reassembled, with the same result. I assume its not getting fuel as opposed to getting too much. the bowl was full when I removed it. Any help?

Re: fuel flow problems
Most likely cause is dirt in one of the jets. You said that you blew everything out, did you get the jet in the bowl nut. Also carb cleaner will cause the rubber seat above the needle valve to swell shutting off fuel supply entirely.ILLINOIS ENGINE, BEECHER CITY, IL
