    Briggs and Stratton gas is getting into crankcase

    brigs model 286H77-0165E1, gas is getting into crankcase when sitting idle for a while. looking at cab diagrahm there is a fuel solinoid could this cause gas to leak thru into oil? anyone experience this before.

    Service and repair them..because I just love old engine's

    Give the carb a service and if the fuel solenoid isn't working fit a new one.

    The problem is not the fuel solenoid, but float needle and seat. 99% of the time by replacing them you will solve your problem.
