:smile:new to the forum. i now own a john deere 322. my old jd was the 316 kolher. by the way it is the 1978 only build, closed frame, dana rear end. Great tractor,cut grass and plowed snow for 36 years. Hydtostatic was butter smooth.So for 36 years it was keep it simple stupid,now its becareful what you wish for.My first project on the jd 322 was to change the alternator belt :confused2:http://www.lawnmowerforum.com/images/smilies/confused2.gif.WHY this is so funny to me is,I never took typing in high school,never had the internet until June of 2015,and didnt use a credit card until I now onn the John Deere 322 which uses 1 gallon of gas per hour! So that my story and Im sticking to it.

Hi Jako and Welcome to the LMF. My friend has a John Deere 318 and I have
been putting off going 35 miles to work on it. I'm covered up with work where
I am and there's no rush since it's been sitting in the garage 2 years. Those
big Ford LGT's were heavy-duty, tough old machines too. In the same class as
the old timey Wheel Horse machines. :thumbsup:
