I have a simplicity landlord with a Briggs 243431 single cylinder engine. Just recently I noticed some fuel on the outside of the carburetor coming out of a bushing. It was running rough and smoking slightly and now it wont start at all not even with starting fluid. It has good spark and compression..... I'd like a second opinion on the problem before I go and spend $90 on a new carburetor. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm guessing the bowl is filling up to were the fuel can run out the bushing ,due to some trash in the needle valve and seat being held open
