need replacement 19hp engine for exmark mower

Need an engine to replace the kawasaki 19hp motor model 601v-bs06. Would like to go with a different make like briggs. Can this be done. any good sites to purchase the motor from??

Go to Small Engine Warehouse, click on repowers, scroll down to Exmark, click on it and look for your model, and click on it. The Kawi 601 series were problematic but the rest of the Kawi line is good. You may be able to increase the HP some. You are better off staying with Kawi if you have need of the particle separating air filter as no Briggs engines have them available. I've done business with SEW and Tulsa Engine Warehouse and I prefer TEW. However repower info is available at both, quicker to check SEW.

Go to PartsNationwide and check out one of the 44Q777 offerings. They make a nice repower and more than likely the only modification will be to notch the rear frame rail to allow for muffler clearance.
