I have a 4231TD, every once in a while I get an intermittent steering loss when mowing. I come to the end of a row, turn the wheel and the tractor goes straight?? I thought it was low on hydro fluid and I did add some, but it still does it. It's a little scary when you are heading at a tree or hill side go to turn and nothing happens!! Any ideas??

Sounds like you have a slipping cog in the steering box...

Have you called your local dealer or Ventrac's service department? Always a good place to start
