I have a JD D100 that is less than six months old. The engine will not turn over at all. The fuse is good and the lights and service meter come on when key is turned on. The manual PTO is disengaged and the emergency brake is on. I hear a faint click when the key is turned on and then off, but other than that, there is no sound. Does anyone have ideas on what the problem could be. Thanks!

The first places to look are battery Full charged & cables securely attached... :smile:KennyV

Aha! That click is most probably the solenoid trying to engage with the flywheel, but not managing due to lack of power, which is either being caused by a loose battery connection, corroded battery post/connector, or just a flat battery!

Just because the lights go on, that doesn't mean it has sufficient power to crank it over.

The first port of call is to take the connectors off, and clean both them and the posts with a hard brush, then reconnect them tightly, and try again.

If that doesn't work, try charging the battery. If that doesn't work, try replacing the battery.
