I have an older model John Deere walk behind mower, model 14ST and I would like to know how to go about changing the oil. There is no oil plug underneath the engine so I am figuring it must come out of the oil tube but I am not sure how to get it out.

Please let me know if I am correct and what tools I would need to purchase.

Thanks.

Glenn, it's at the bottom of the block, right where it bolts to the deck

If I remember correctly you loosen the fitting a couple of turns and the oil will drain

I THINK that is a push-in and twist style. I usually replace those with a black iron pipe setup.
