Troybilt won't pull backward

Got self propelled adjusted so it would pull, now wheels are locked when trying to pull mower backward. Have tried adjusting over again with no success. Thanks

Sounds like the bearing might have seized up that allows backward motion.

It does happen sometimes the belt grabs on the pulley as you try to pull the mower backwards. It can be more noticeable when the engine is not running and the back wheels lock up.
Check for any grass build up around the drive pulleys
How old is the belt if it is worn and sitting deeper in the pulley it will be more prone to grabbing
