Hi to all,

I have an HR215 with a broken drive shaft. The mower works perfectly, and I just haven't had the time to fix the drive shaft.

What I'd like to know regards the gear box. There are times when the mower can be pulled back and it rolls, while other times, the gears lock up and won't allow it to roll backwards. Why would this be intermittent, and is there a way I can temporarily make it roll backwards all the time until I get the shaft repaired?

Thanks a lot for considering my questions!

The drive shaft fix is not a major job you can buy a repair kit depending on which end has broken for around 」35.00 or a new shaft for around 」80 it will take around セ hour to change it not a bad job.
The simple way to pull the machine backwards is to lift the rear roller clear of the ground I know its not hi tech but it will work every time and its free.
Good luck

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it does seem like a simple repair.

I still would like to know why some of the time the mower will roll backwards freely, while other times it will not. If anyone can help with that, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks again.
