I purchased this mower used, sounds like engine is badly worn, I suspect that it has been run w/o air filter element. I have an "extra" 6.5 HP Duraforce engine. Has anybody out there ever swapped a Duraforce onto this model or similar model with cast aluminum housing? Thanks.
Advice appreciated.

I do not see why not, but wyou will have to wait for a better answer.
It will be easy if its the same brand - tear into it and let us know the results.
